Hyundai’s research and engineering team has drawn inspiration from the orchid flower to build one flawless driving element that promises to change the face of mainstream driving. The result: the All-new Hyundai Sonata – the newest Next Generation mid-size sedan that has duplicated the aesthetic and symmetrical values of the orchid. Still, looking deeper to its finer details, one would realize its direct resemblance to yet another element of nature – water – free-flowing and dynamic – which makes it a flawless beauty that exceeds expectations and opens broad horizons in the future of mobility.

Its Fluidic Sculpture unraveled by an elegantly sloping roof and sweeping character lines, proves that it is a car built not only for second-glances, but speed as well.

What could be more compelling than taking your design cue from the orchid? Refined and elegant, the pure contours and effortless grace of this most precious of creations were the natural inspiration for the Hyundai Sonata. With its gently undulating silhouette and distinctive, sweeping character lines, this is automotive design distilled down to fluid, innate beauty.

The Sonata embodies Hyundai’s commitment to protecting the environment. On the dashboard is an ECO Drive indicator, a device that reminds you to adopt more fuel-efficient, economical driving habits.

The hot-stamping method used in the car’s construction, whereby outer roof-side panels and center pillars are reinforced with hi-tensile steel, provides added safety in case of an accident. A steel multi-coned structure and hood inner frame, together with offset mechanisms in both the dashboard and floor, also absorb shock energy in the event of a collision, including a head-on one.

Body color to choose are WHC (White Crystal), FHM (Hyper Metallic), RER (Remington Red) and AA (Black Diamond).

AERO-NOX is a breakthrough technology that can recapture harmful air pollutants in the environment, that will also reuse, recycle and reduce the same pollutants in internal combustion engines!

AERO-NOXTM is an electronic device that transforms the intake air into Nitrous Oxide (N2O) to act as fuel additive in an internal combustion system. The device dissociates Oxygen (O2) and Nitrogen (N2) in air to form Nitrous Oxide (N2O) and mixed with the fuel in the combustion chamber, greater combustion efficiency is achieved; with reduced harmful exhaust emissions, increased engine power and performance, and improved fuel economy (for gasoline, diesel and LPG/CNG type engines).

This is manufactured and distributed in the Philippines by:

Looking for ways to save money on auto maintenance, here’s an article by Iñigo Roces published on September 24, 2010 at Manila Bulletin. The article highlights small maintenance for big savings on the following items: tires, pressure, rotation, seating, windshield, wipers, engine, fluids, fuel, visibility and the batteries. Read on to learn how to save money on car maintenance…

Small Maintenance for Big Savings
Cars are more than just a means of transportation. They’re an extension of one’s personality, a symbol of freedom, and also a bottomless money pit. Despite the mounds of freedom and mobility they provide, cars demand continuous and costly upkeep. Or so you think. It’s to be expected that people with vehicles lead busy lives, yet devoting just an hour a week to car maintenance can lead to big savings far down the road. Here’s a list of easy to do tasks that result in big savings.

Tires
Of all the parts of a car, tires affect performance, safety and economy the most. After all, these rubber hoops are what connect the car to the road. As such, proper tire care can lead to the biggest savings if you’re willing to put in the time.

Pressure
Tire pressure is the easiest to do and of prime importance, especially when it comes to fuel economy. Keep tires inflated to the proper pressure; not over or under. For the proper tire inflation pressure, check the glove compartment or the base of the column on the driver side door. There’s typically a badge in either of these areas that indicates the tire pressure required.
Take up the gas attendant’s offer next time he offers to check your tire. If you want to avoid frequent checking, have your tires filled with Nitrogen for a little extra cost. It dissipates far less quickly than regular air.

Rotation
One tire care tip most people forget is rotation. The thought of it may prove daunting, but rotating tires can amount to some of the biggest savings in a car. Try to rotate tires every year. This can double a set of tires’ life and lead to tens of thousands of pesos worth of savings. You should be able to rotate at least twice before needing to replace the tires. While they’re off, inspect the tires for stones stuck in the groves. This can make for quieter tires and also reduce wear.

Seating
First of all, your seating position in your car could be the very cause of the problem. Adjust your seat so that your left and right wrists can easily rest on the top of the steering wheel without your back leaving the seat and only a slight bend on the arms. The position may seem awkward and uncomfortable, but driving this way for prolonged periods of time can reduce back aches and reduce the chances of falling asleep on the wheel. It also improves your overall visibility while driving.
Windshield
Take some time to closely inspect your windshield and headlights. Dirty windshields and headlight covers can contribute to the problem. Consider applying rain repellent to both. You’ll be surprised with the difference it makes.

Wipers
Don’t forget to change your wipers frequently. Wipers, in fact, are only intended to last for a year, and considering our country’s weather extremes, should be replaced as such. No need to invest in fancy triple blade or banana type wipers. The OEM specs will do just fine so long as you replace them regularly.

Engine
Car engines can be quite tolerant when they’re new and slowly grow fickle with age. They’re not getting spoiled. It’s their maintenance that has gotten lax.

Fluids
Before anything else, devote some time to checking fluids. Many engine problems are usually related to these fluids and can generally be avoided had the fluid levels been maintained. Check the radiator, brake, power steering and transmission fluid.

Oil changes are another factor as well. Check the oil either before you start a car or after it’s been off for some time. Do it on level ground as well to get the most accurate reading. Remember whether you use synthetic (change every six months) or regular oil (change every three months), change them accordingly.

Fuel
Putting in fuel with a lower octane level may seem like it’s saving you on the surface, but it could amount to serious engine trouble in the future. Many modern cars require a high octane rating and a higher quality fuel. The vehicle’s manual should indicate the octane level required. Try loading up with a higher octane fuel, many drivers are surprised to find that loading up with a higher octane fuel returns even better mileage and smoother running engines.

Visibility
Thinking of upgrading to high intensity discharge headlights? Perhaps your visibility problem is easier solved than you think.

Battery
A good engine is only as good as the battery that starts it. Maintenance-free batteries are a tempting proposition, but quite frequently, they’re not as maintenance-free as you think. Don’t forget to read the fine print when purchasing one of these batteries. You might find that it, in fact, needs some sort of maintenance.

There’s nothing wrong with the regular batteries, if you don’t mind checking it regularly. You’ll find it performs just as well, and sometimes lasts even longer. Maintaining these batteries is often as simple as ensuring that the water levels in each of the compartments are filled and even. Finally, make car maintenance a part of your weekly or monthly routine. Select a day that you frequently do errands on and allot an hour to these maintenance checks.

Your car will thank you with smoother and more reliable performance and your wallet could have more left at the end of a quarter.

Hope this small maintenance tips will help you save more money on auto maintenance.

With the increasing prices of gas, you may now thinking on how to save money on gas. Mazda Philippines offers a few helpful and easy-to-do tips to help you save money on gas.

Here are the tips:

Check the pressure of tires regularly because low air pressure leads to higher fuel costs. This is due to under inflated tires requiring more energy to begin moving and to maintain speed.

If you own a Mazda, head to Mazda Service Center to make sure that your car is in optimum condition. A simple oil change could help your engine perform at peak level and consume less gas.

Don’t be afraid to make your car go “zoom-zoom” because a study conducted by a British automotive consultancy found that controlled acceleration is actually more fuel-efficient than conservative driving.

According to the study, the key to saving fuel is to accelerate hard until the engine reaches 2000 rpm, move up a gear, then put your foot down until your reach 2000 rpm again. It may seem counter-intuitive but at 2000 rpm the engine is at its most efficient. Keep in mind though that above 2000 rpm, the benefits diminished and you begin using more fuel.
